OK, I've followed those last instructions and hopefully things should be good now. Thank you VERY much for all your time and help. MUCH appreciated!!!

Sorry 2 more questions.

-We seemed to have removed Bearshare from my computer.....is there a possible way to restore it? or should it not be on my computer at all.

-Can I remove such applications as CCleaner and Ad-watch from my computer now?

yea you can remove those programs that are left if you wish.

Keep 1 AV. 1 Firewall. you can have a combonation of anti-spyware (it doesn't eat resources except when running) , a temp file cleaner, and winpatrol.

If you keep the above update and scan regularly you should not be infected again. And if you are infected again, you are going to know it right away, or possibly even have the opportunity to allow/deny the infection.

----------------------------------------------

Any peer-to-peer file swapping program. When used with Shared access such as an office enviroment, can degrade network performance and consume vast amounts of storage. Security concerns are rasied as access can be granted to internal documents. Often bundled with Adware or Spyware.

I feel that bearshare along with limewire are particularly insecure

Here is my normal warning - **P2P programs = Please note that as long as you are using any form of Peer-to-Peer networking and downloading files from non-documented sources, you can expect infestations of malware to occur.
Once upon a time, P2P file sharing was fairly safe. That is no longer true. You may continue to use P2P sharing at your own risk; however, please keep in mind that this practice may be the source of your current malware infestation. see http://spywarewarrior.com/viewtopic.php?t=26216

Hey Blind Dragon...computer seems to be running smoothly.

One thing im noticing when I'm on some sites like Facebook for example, I get the yellow bar on the top saying:

Your security setting do not allow website to use activex controls installed on your coumputer.

I tried researching around and couldn't find a definite answer of how to solve it...any ideas?

Is this in internet explorer?

If so I suggest you try firefox. I think the new version is coming out tomorrow.

If you are set on keeping internet explorer and you followed my above instructions then the ActiveX controls may not be signed as this is how we set it, just go back and change the setting following the "make your internet explorer more secure" and adjust the active X controls as needed

1. Change the Download signed ActiveX controls to Prompt
2. Change the Download unsigned ActiveX controls to Disable
3. Change the Initialize and script ActiveX controls not marked as safe to Disable
