Help with CD Key recovery

I just bought a new computer and I want to install my old copy of Supreme Commander: Forged Alliance. However, I am missing the CD Key. I posted a thread at the developers forum and they told me that I can recover the CD Key from the registry on my old computer that the game was installed on, but they wouldnt go farther than that (crappy customer service).
My question is this: Where can I go on my old computer to find the registry and recover the CD Key? Can I go through windows explorer? Or some other way? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you.

Try this program. It lists only Supreme Commander in the list, but should work on the expansion too.

Oh this is very helpful, wish I had this before I junked my old computer. Luckily I didn't play any of the games I lost the keys to, and had the keys for the ones I still did play, but still, could have been quite helpful.
