Help with IBM T60 and Windows install

  1. Hi, I have a IBM t60. I installed 4 gb of new ram for the t60 my friend installed windows xp sp3 we installed a new hard drive seagate 260 gb half way thru windows install a message comes up and informs us we have no memory and than windows stops running. Can any help with this problem thanks so much Rick

    The laptop is a ibm t60 P4-1.83 ghz the o/s is windows xp sp3 . I thought the new ram might be bad but I check the site were I bought them they are 2gb each speed pc2-5300 ddr2 667 single chip for the t60 so I think I might be wrong with that idea. When we install windows half way thru we get a responce no ram any ideas thanks for your help Rick
