Hideo Kojima to part ways with Sony, will bring his new gaming projects to Xbox

Steam prices are cheaper than the PS Store according to online analysts not by as much as they used to be (Sony trying to do some damage limitation after killing physical disks) but once they are in a monopolisitc position which they soon will be you can bet they will go back up. Also Steam has a refund policy and almost never deletes digital content you own and your games continue to work for decades as does your hardware. How many controllers and steering wheels have Sony obsoleted? Not to mention you have to pay for the privilege of going online on your own network.
Seems to me you overlook lots in your praising of Steam.
- Steam requires a 64 Bit OS, that makes not just controllers but lots of computers obsolete. With Playstation you can actually still use old controllers, they work with the console generation they were made for. Since you can't run Steam on a old Windows, using controllers from that generation is hit and miss at best.
- Games on Steam doesn't finance any hardware, that is different with consoles where the games is part of why console prices are what they are.

Finally don't be mistaken and think you own any games nought on Steam, you have a license to use the games and you can't transfer those games to other. In fact you can't even transfer your account to someone else be it as a gift or by selling it - you can't even pass it on when you die.

Both steam and sony are in monopolistic position, and steam actively punish any other store front which date to put smaller price for a game. Hence the price difference becomes minimal and steam have currently active city case, which I Hope they will lost, so we could get a proper competition on pc market yet again.

“rumored”

They’re also doing napkin math forgetting that DS1 didn’t sell at full price at launch. It was heavily bundled and deeply discounted very shortly after launch
We know the game budget, and we know approximate sales number. Thats a lot of info to approximate the earnings. We know sony werent happy with the numbers and did let him go. You do not let go of people who making money for you. He eid not do that.
Additionally, after years of doing nothing, an uber eat sim was the best he came up with? He isn't exactly young, and if I were to bet, I wouldnt bet on him creating anything great.
We got many articles last 2 weeks showing exactly how badly he let people down. And he was well knows well xbox gives him less possible earnings than Sony would. He could be independent.... if he had money. But he needs a bigger company to finance his flops.
