Hi all,
newby here.
I've reinstalled Win 7 ultimate (32 bit) on my laptop. All good (I guess) until I transferred back my previous files with windows easy transfer (backedup my documents and settings).
The computer goes faster than before (too much time without a fresh reinstall) but still not perfect: cyclically (every 2-3 minutes) the computer slows down. If I'm listening to music (Grooveshark) it starts crackling and the programmes freeze.
Looking at task manager, when the freezing moments arrive, the CPU rises at around 60% although the use of the CPU by the processes currently running does not add up. (I'm seeing all processes for all users).
I've Avast updated and activated. I've Spybot search and destroy active and updated (run both recently with no problems found)
My pc is a 2.66 GHz centrino duo with 4 gb RAM (says 2.97 usable) and more than 1Gb available on HDD. I've recently increased the virtual memory to 6Gb.

I've run Malware bites, Avast, Spybot and superantispyware.. but still same issues..
I've run the dds.com file and these are the reports. DDS first and attach second.
What would you suggest?
