How Alexa Listens for Wake Words

Alexa is always listening but not continually recording. It doesn’t send anything to cloud servers until it hears you say the wake word (Alexa, Echo, or Computer). But listening for wake words is harder than you might think. FULL ARTICLE

It was quite odd , while watching my local news they were talking about Amazon Prime day starting today when my Amazon Echo Dot responded, " Sorry, don't think I can help with that". lol. 3 other times it responded to something on tv, interesting considering it don't respond to me unless I push a button. Guess it likes tv better
