How can you be your isp?

i thought it wouldnt be possible it all makes sens now :)
and here in belgium are connection is faster than T1 and faster than broudband in the uk as far as i know because i have bt broudband and it 1.5mbps downstream and here in belgium it 3.3mbps or there's 3mbps :) i think its 256bps upstream
thats faster than in the uk....i think

Forget about T3...stick with DSL or Cable and wait till fibre optics become reasonable. Fibre optics is the future with light used as medium of transfer of data, quality of the data is not affected and its digital too.
 
Heh, I'll just throw out all this copper stuff I have right now and wait for the blissful future.. I hope it arrives soon :p

Heck, I'll scrap my PC and wait for the nanocomputers :p

well one advantage to being your own ISP would be if you were your own customer and were into File swapping then when the riaa sues your isp to get them to divulge the identity of the file swapper you could plead your constitutional right not to incriminate yourself.
