How do I clone a hard drive?

I have a Compaq laptop and I want to upgrade to a larger hard drive but my Restore Disks wont work when the new drive is in. The old drive has 2 partitions- the Windows partition and a Restore partition. I cant figure out how to transfer these to the new drive. I tried Drive Image but it just creates a backup image on the new drive.

^yep, i use TrueImage Home 2010 all the time with my drives and it works excellent. it's also supports Windows 7

Im using 64bit Vista and Easus only has a non-functional demo for 64bit. Is there a free version of True Image?

The EASUS web site says the Disk Copy download supports 64-bit Vista

Supports Windows XP 64 bit, Vista 64 bit, Windows 7 64bit Yes
