How do I connect a laptop to a Westell Versalink 327w?

I know the westell veralink's wireless connection works, because the home desktop is connected, but when I try to connect a laptop, it says "Windows was unable to connect".

The Westell is a Versalink 327w DSL modem/wireless/wired router.

The laptop is a Acer running windows 7. The laptop itself is probably 3ish years old.

I've tried:
-Reseting the network as requested when I troubleshoot using the laptop
-Manually setting up the network on the laptop
-Connecting the laptop and the router directly via a ethernet cable to find the network.

I have not been able to locate the Westell's disk, assuming that it came with one.
Any suggestions? I'm out of ideas, and I don't have the technical expertise to deal with this.

So I tried to follow the directions, but I ran into problems immediately. For some reason windows 7 doesn't have a "connect to.." button in the start menu. I did go to the wireless network window and manually added the network using it's SSID and it's password.. unfortunately it still refuses to connect. Don't suppose you have any other suggestions?
