How do I edit posts?

I am new and I can't figure it out. DOH

Edit: Well that's funny, it lets me edit this one..., but not the ones on the virus removal board...

It seems like I can edit anything as long as it's a new post, but after a certain number of hours the option goes away... s

I think it is that way by design, allowing you a few minutes to make correction.
