Unfortunately, Gmail doesn't have a built-in setting to completely block it. However, there's a trick to avoid it most of the time:
Click on the link while holding down the Ctrl key (Command key on Mac) on your keyboard. This usually opens the link in a new tab without asking you if Gmail should handle it. It might take some getting used to, but it should save you time and frustration in the long run!
