Using a Lenovo T61p trying to install on a Lenovo X61s.

Tried the windows usb-dvd tool first. Then I followed this guide on both a USB drive and the hard drive inside the computer.

I have changed the BIOS to load USB drives first.

When the OS is on the flash drive it does not detect it.

When the OS is loaded on the HD, it errors about a bootmanager.

Am I out of ideas as to what i am doing wrong!

Its a problem with the memory stick then, assuming both laptops are able to read from usb devices during boot.

Also, did you copy the entire directory structure from the Windows Disc onto the memory stick? I just recently did it quite successfully using the above method, so the only thing that concerns me is whether the memory stick has been correctly setup.

It is a 16GB SD card in a enclosure.

And it has somehow started working...after 6 fricken hours.

Thank you Leeky, and good night! Gahhh
