How to stop google Sheets from uploading/backing up anything to google drive on android?

I have a Moto X4 running android 9.x and I use google Sheets on the phone. I have a file that I use, and I do not want it to be uploaded every time I turn on the wi-fi (I don't have a data plan and don't want or need one). I really do not want Sheets uploading anything to google drive and I have no need for it. I have poked through all the Sheet settings and permissions, but I have not found anything obvious that says something like "turn off uploads to google drive".

Does anyone know of a way to turn automatic uploads from Sheets to google drive off?
