How to track a lost mobile phone

Hi Buddies,
Today my friend lost his mobile phone Vivo v9. I have a little idea to recover the mobile phone. But the location is OFF in the mobile. I Am not getting what to do now. He said that there is important data in the mobile. How can we get the mobile. Any Suggestions

You may contact sim card service provider mobile operator and they have ability to trace location.

Let me tell you some tricks. Hope this helpful to you I think so, First of all open andriod device manager. Login with mailid that what you have registered in your mobile. Then check wheather your phone listed. Make sure that your mobile location must be turned "ON". If it wont work open Google location history you can check where your mobile active last time

To track your friend's phone
First, you have to open its google id on a pc or laptop.
Then you find an option called security option in your Google account.
There you found an option called your device then click on that option and you will track your mobile.
