How to use the sniper rifle in soldier of fortune 2 double helix?

i don't know how to aim with the sniper, there is no crosshair.

I haven't played in years but I do recall a crosshair. You have to zoom in to your target, if you're attempting a no scope then there might not be a crosshair.
