I can't watch videos anymore

I just got a brand new computer and everything was working fine. I installed Virus protection and everything so my computer should be fine. I was on Skype with some friends and I installed Skype 7.0 because I didn't want to use the pre-installed Skype. Well now I cant make a call on Skype and every time I try to watch a video its either stops after 2 seconds and sits there (Facebook) or just has a flat out black screen (YouTube). I checked my Ram and I'm not out or memory. I waited for it to buffer and nothing. What is going on?

If it was working OK try uninstalling Skype 7.0. Failing that uninstall the security software you installed and fall back on what the computer came with. New computers are also easy to return to factory setting.
