I want to add an old hard drive to a new PC

Hello!!

I have somewhat same problem with Slogan. I have this old PC with Windows XP OS and bought a new PC with an OS of Windows 7. Now, I want to slave the hard drive on the windows xp to the new pc. What will happen if I did this?

1. none of the programs on the old-hd will be usable
2. the files will still be there, but not owned by any user-id on the new system. To solve that:

• use an admin login,
• go to the top level of the user profile on the old-hd
• take ownership of it and all subdirs
• then add a permission for anyone on the new system to have full control
