I want to add my laptop ram

I use my laptop for video editing, the processor is Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-6200U CPU @ 2.30GHz, 2400 Mhz, 2 Core(s), 4 Logical Processor(s), and its ram is 8gb ddr4 2133Mhz, I want my laptop to work faster while editing so im considering adding 8gb more ram cuz it has 2 slot, will it work?

Depends on what make and model the laptop is - some might have both SO-DIMM slots filled to achieve 8 GB, others may only use the one. If you're certain that your laptop has two slots, and only one is in use, then another stick of RAM that matches the other's clocks and timings will work.

I have opened my laptop, and it really does have to slots, the one in use is so-dimm

If you can, try to source an exact copy of the SO-DIMM already being used, to ensure a perfect match of timings.
