I7 10700 + RTX 3090, or i9 10900?

Hello, I just ordered a PC for gaming only.

I made the decision to take an i7 10700 with an RTX 3090 and 32 GB RAM 2933Mhz.
Is the i9 10900 can made a big difference?

I play at 1440p 240Hz.

Ryzen 9 5950X or Ryzen 9 5900X are both faster than those Intel models. Also Intel is outdated design and very outdated platform, does not even support PCIe 4.0.

Although that is indeed the case, it doesn't actually answer the question from @pop0ti:

Not a big difference - the 10900 has a maximum clock of 5.2 GHz to the 10700's 4.8 GHz, so where a game's performance is being entirely limited by the CPU, the 10900 would be up to 8% faster. It has two more cores, but that won't make a difference in most games. But since the 10900 is over $100 more than the 10700, it really isn't worth considering it, especially since you're gaming at 1440p.
