Inactive IE 8 keeps opening new web pages

I have a problem that when i use internet explorer 8, i get many new web browser pages opening up. They open so quick that i cant close them in time and the only way to close them is via task manager.

i have scanned my laptop with my AV and anti malwarebytes, but they haven't found anything....

Please can someone help as this is driving me crazy
