Internet Randomly Disconnects

I've been having this problem for a while now. It usually doesn't happen when there isn't strain on the internet but when I start downloading a torrent or connect to my wireless it usually disconnects. The problem only occurs when I have the wireless connected. If I'm connected directly to my modem then my internet is fine. The router I'm using is a d-link and I have already talked to eastlink, my service provider and they said everything is fine on their end. I'm kind of stumped on this problem, any help would be appreciated.

i had the same issue a while back, i changed the channel i was using on the router and it cleared, seems something was causing interference with it, such as another router nearby (several people near me have wireless).

I tried a few channels before settling down to just one.
