IO system issues

Hey guys tks in advance and merry Christmas for you all! Well I got a problem with my laptop running XP Pro 3 version and I did a few things before to post this one and possibly what caused that the laptop crashes and/or screen and pointer to freeze and having to restart again and again with no luck because I mean evertime I try to use any app almost instantly the system crashes and I can see some phantoms behind the icons in different styles and using verifier. exe I got the following results :
IO SYSTEM VERIFICATION ERROR IN aswNdis2. sys { WDM DRIVER ERROR 21f}

Kidding aside, XP Pro is dimly recollected, but I will try...
1. Get into Safe Mode (f8 key as you boot - I just hold the key down as it boots)
2. Get into Advanced Options
3. Select Safe Mode
Once in safe mode you should be able to do things without crashing all the time.

Use this and bring us the dump but just by looking at the error.
Looks like a problem with an audio codec driver.
Just don't know for sure if its part of the problem.
