Think about it this way... when they came out with the 4G 128GB, $949 iPad the internet was full of fun names for it like the iOverspent and the MaxiPad. I'm sure a gold plated 128GB iPhone will be priced appropriately for some iPuns.

Isn't it obvious the Gold plated iPhone is targeted to a special group.
The group that worships the brand and will sell their organs to get it.
And the group who doesn't know where to put their money at.
