My computer's sound device just started acting weird. It won't play any sound from internet videos, but it also won't play VLC files. However, it plays iTunes just fine. This has never happened before.
My laptop is a Gateway ID49C04h with Conexant High Definition Audio that says it is updated and "working properly" in the Device status box. Also, VLC will show up on the mixer list except no volume comes from it. I've checked several files and several sites via Chrome and Firefox.
Any help is appreciated.
