iTunes keeps popping to the front when I look at other programs

If I have itunes open and am looking at a webpage or something else, iTunes continually pops to the front, which gets very irritating after awhile. I linked my lastfm account to the scrobbler yesterday and I have heard some people say that it might have to do with that, but I'm not exactly sure where to go from here. Can anyone help?

I have uninstalled messenger as some people said that was the problem and as I never use messenger i thought why not. Problem is still happening though. :-(
