Laptop does not start instantly

i have lenovo g550 laptop........for two days i didnt used it and kept it aside.........later when i tried to use it it didnt start i removed its battery and checked but nothin worked but after hour and half it started suddenly.......i used it then for abt 3 hous and it worked fine........the next day i had similar problem but this time it started bit quicker than before..... i offed and oned several times and it worked fine.....next day i had same problem again......is it a hardware problem or just moisture does it........ whats the remedy?

Are you shutting it down, or putting it into sleep/hibernate?

So what exactly does it do if you try to turn it on and its not working?

Do you see any lights at all? Does the screen light up? Or is it acting like its totally dead with absolutely no signs of life?

battery charging light is glowing.......but it wont start while i press power button nothin else glows other than battery charging......screen doesnt light up...... its black

When it next does it, remove the battery completely, and run it directly off of the mains lead. See if it will start then.

tried it didnt work.......usually it starts after an hour or so today even after 2 hr its not gettin started......... once it starts it works completely fine

I take it, its not covered by a warranty?

It's rather strange, I'm rather unsure what else would be causing it. It seems really odd though. I'm sure someone else will know more much than I though.
