Laptop overheats after coming out of sleep

I have an HP Probook with Athlon II dual core. It starts to overheat as soon as it comes out of sleep mode. It will get up to 200*F with the fan running and the whole case gets hot. If I shut it down and restart, the temp will stay normal, 120*, for as long as it stays awake. But if I let it go to sleep and wake it up, the overheating starts. It gets hotter everyday. Was only going up to 180* yesterday. Any ideas? Thanks

Was that 10% while the laptop was overheating? It could be virus, but that's irrelevant if 10% load causes it to overheat.

Seems like laptop needs a good physical cleaning to begin with.

Right! I forgot that the Athlon II was pretty old, and thus may elude to a need for an internal cleanup.
