Laptop with HDMI input

Hi I have a laptop with HDMI input but no blu ray drive, what can I do with it? Can I connect a blu ray player to the laptop on the HDMI input then use the laptop to display the images?

You could connect a the Blu-Ray that has the necessary cables to connect to your laptop to use as an HD screen. The whole point of the HDMI port is so you can basically use your laptop screen as an HDTV....and it actually could be an HDTV if you got a TV tuner that is HDMI compatable.

I've never seen a laptop with an HDMI input, but there are many with HDMI outputs. I suspect you have an HDMI output, in which case, it's purpose is so that you can connect your laptop to a HDTV that has HDMI to look at movies/pictures.
