Latency Issues (Acpi.sys)

I'm using a Dell inspiron 7567 Gaming. I've been having these latency issues. I used Latency Mon to identify the driver. It sometimes show Ndis.sys as maldunctioning too. I've tried nearly everything.
I reset my PC. Reinstalled every driver in an order said from the Dell Website. Tweaked in every way advised by some technicians. Still it could'nt be solved. Games get lagged so hard. The noise cracks when listening to music and games. Sometimes the PC hangs when shutting off. Please advise. Thank You.

Don't presume that xxx.sys is the issue - - it was just active WHEN the issue came up. It's far more likely that your ISP connection or the pathway to the game server is the issue.

Test a network path with PATHPING, like pathping google.com
It can take up to three-four minutes to complete. The file shown demos a reasonable response -- notice the ZERO losses.

BTW: lines with 100% loss also show column two as --- (the router is not responding to pings, which is valid)

MASSIVE losses. Most disturbing is Node one:
  1. Hop 1: 216.182.224.100 18.2 ms [.....] Packet loss: 5/5 100%
  2. Hop 2: 100.66.12.16 21.781 ms [.....] Packet loss: 5/5 100%
  3. Hop 3: 100.66.15.168 11.187 ms [.....] Packet loss: 5/5 100%
  4. Hop 4: 100.66.6.47 19.416 ms [.....] Packet loss: 5/5 100%
  5. Hop 5: 100.66.4.65 14.814 ms [.....] Packet loss: 5/5 100%
  6. Hop 6: 100.65.11.65 0.638 ms [.....] Packet loss: 5/5 100%

Node one is under YOUR control - - it's the connection from your system to your router. This time should be less that 1ms. Fix your wiring, your router and look for bad software on your system.

I tried with every different WiFi. And even tried disabling and using Ethernet, still couldn't solve the latency. Ndis.sys only solves latency by disabling both WiFi and Ethernet Drivers. So I don't think my router might be of the problem?

Do as you please, but I've never seen latency solved with driver changes. Drivers frequently fix dropped packets and reliability issues however, but that's NOT ndis.sys.

  • make & model of your modem
  • & router,
  • name of your ISP - is it dsl, cable, satellite?
  • which version of windows are you using?
