Leaked Nvidia GeForce RTX 3090 images reveal a massive card

$600 for a 3070 whats that in uk £499 maybe, thats ok as I think I paid £299 for my 970 so I guess that's acceptable but still..
Actually it will be £600 here in the UK. As we add 20% VAT to our prices and Americans don’t. So that covers roughly the difference in value.

I do believe the US system recovers what we pay in VAT in some other form of corporate tax.

Oh yes forgot about, I only buy a new PC once every 5 years or so, so really don't want to compromise too much, no guarantee than we will even see a 3060 this side of Xmas. Just need to keep using the adjust price for the wife equation I guess.

Who in their right mind would blow that kind of money on this GPU?
Lots of people. Look at the prices of other things and youl get an idea. Some people pay more than this to have wooden trim added to their cars for example! If this sort of spending shocks you then prepare to be blown away by the price of watches, cars, houses, mobile phones, most sports kit, designer clothing, make up, flights, hotels etc. I could go on. In fact when you consider the engineering that goes in the product it’s not that bad value in a wierd sort of way. A lot more work went on this than a luis Vuitton handbag!

Yeah I’m the same, I don’t upgrade every year. But a pandemic year is a good time to upgrade as we are all spending a lot more time at home and away from others! The money saved on travel helps too.

Looks to be a little bit bigger than the Zotac GTX 980Ti AMP! Omega/Extreme cards.

Probably just barely fit in my Cooler Maser HAF XB Evo case, if I don't include the front intake fans. If I didn't have a mortgage payment I needed to make for 2 months, I'd pick one of these up and stuff in my case....actually, no I wouldn't. I couldn't bring myself to spend $1400+ price range these will sell at even if I had tons of money to waste.

Personally I think the bigger the better. My components sit in my desktop tower and I would rather they take up the space in there for cooling purposes.

But yes, this won’t do for small or mobile devices.
get a smaller case, even custom one... still cheaper than that v.card :p

On the contrary...the 3090 is a triple-slot card. So when the cards are both placed on a table with the backside facing up, the PCI connector on the 3090 will be closer to the camera, and thus appear larger.

I just compared the two PCI connectors in Photoshop, and the one on the 3090 is only slightly larger. Increasing the overall size of the 2080 in PS to make the connectors exactly the same size still shows a very large difference in size between the two cards.

Totally agree, I think he didn't have a solid understanding of perspective.
