4:3 LCDs are rarer and more expensive now. So strange that people give up a standard so quickly just to jump on the bandwagon.
"Widescreen" doesn't have a real standard for theater movies. Well perhaps a "wide-range" of standards would be more appropriate. 4:3 -should- live on. It's a better size for many applications like word processing and spreadsheets in multi-monitor environment. Plus it's the ratio we started VGA computing with.
