What better way to showcase your product (and flex your cinematic / creativity muscle) than produce an original sci-fi mini-series? That’s exactly what 3D Robotics has done and its Solo “smart drone” is the star of the show.

Episode one of Life After Gravity introduces us to what I presume is the show’s protagonist, Henry Tran, as well as a mysterious company known as the Eon Space Agency. I’ll stop there as to not spoil everything but the bigger takeaway here is the fact that the entire series is shot exclusively using the 3DR Solo drone and a small array of standard Solo equipment.

What’s more, 3D Robotics didn’t actually film the whole thing itself. Instead, the company leaned on Solo users from around the globe to capture scenes for the mini-series, making it a true community effort.

Actually, it's more like someone has tried to turn Baraka into sci-fi, albeit rather badly.
