MSE fails to update, error code 0x80240022. The same as the picture posted previously.

Other than that, the computer running clean as a whistle and better than ever. Thank you so much for your help!

I wish I could donate money to you for the time and effort you put into helping me but I have little to give :( I might be able to scrounge something up

Please go to Start > type in CMD and right-click Command Prompt in the results pane and select Run as Administrator.

Type this in to Command Prompt exactly as is and hit enter:

sc create BITS binpath= "c:\windows\system32\svchost.exe -k netsvcs" start= delayed-auto

Once done, let me know if it can update.

Oh gosh, I'm sorry about not replying! I've been running all over the place this week :/

I am not so apt with the "Security Check Log", where would I find it?

From earlier in post #24...

Please download Security Check by screen317 from SpywareInfoforum.org or Changelog.fr.
  • Save it to your Desktop.
  • Double click SecurityCheck.exe and follow the onscreen instructions inside of the black box.
  • A Notepad document should open automatically called checkup.txt; please post the contents of that document.
