Lord of the Rings : BfmE2 RotWK Windows 7 fix?

Hey gamers!
I was just wondering if anyone ever fixed the launch bug for windows 7 when trying to play this? I never could get it to work. I got BfME2 to work but I never could for this, even using the same fix.
So yeah, did anyone fix this?

Have you tried running it under Windows XP compatibility mode?

I have in the little properties for the startup, but not with the app you get with Windows ultimate :/ I don't have it
