Losing DVI signal

Having trouble with monitor/graphics card.
All was fine till late this after noon,now when i turn my monitor off with the power button and i turn it back on im getting a 'no signal message'
Meaning i have to reboot my pc every time i turn the monitor off.
This is only happening when using dvi connection,its fine with d-sub connection.

A virus or other malware can be infecting your computer... It could be a dieing power supply too

Thanks for the reply.
I brought a dell monitor home from work and that works fine every time.
I am using a acer p223w monitor so i rang them today,the guy on the phone did suggest it was a monitor problem and that seems the be the case.
Its only 3 months old so still under warranty.
