Inactive Malicious Virus.. I cant get rid of it...

Okay so I have tried a number of things but no matter what it gets me no where...

Whenever I try to run any antivirus installation I double click the installation program and it doesnt open.

The main program I usually use is malwarebytes, but when I try to install it in safemode I get this error message:
Setup was unable to create the directory
"C:\ProgramData\Malwarebytes\Malwarebytes Anti-Malware".
Error 5: Access is Denied.

I also get it in normal windows and on the one time I was able to run mbam through the chameleon installation the quick scan came back with a type mismatch error and shut down malwarebytes.

Any help would be greatly appriciated.

OK! I was able to solve the problem on my own and install malwarebytes. I am currently running a full scan as we speak!

What I had to do was navigate to C:\Programdata and find the file named Malwarebytes, I then right clicked, Permissions and found that the firus had removed all user permisions so I just created a new permission that allowed full control of the folder with my username and BAM! I was able to sucessfully install and run malwarebytes in safemode
