Manage add-ons disable

i wanted to watch online show from a website
and they ask me to install the activeX control which
i did. but there will be a pop up saying my manage
add-ons is disable and must enable before activeX
control can be installed but when i click on the mange
add-ons none of the thing is disabled. my fwen sae it
might be due to spybot or other virus protection programme.
i try deleting them but i still cant install. any one can help?

How to use Reset Internet Explorer Settings (RIES

To use RIES in Internet Explorer 7, follow these steps:

1. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options.
2. On the Advanced tab, click Reset.
3. In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, click Reset.
4. When Internet Explorer 7 finishes restoring the default settings, click Close, and then click OK two times.
5. Close Internet Explorer 7. The changes take effect the next time that you open Internet Explorer 7.

Note for users who cannot start Internet Explorer 7 for some reason, use RIES from Internet Options in Control Panel.

i dunch wish to use IE7. but i reset my IE6 settings.
but im still unable to install activex control due to the
same reason.

You can remove Internet Explorer 6 from Add/Remove Programs->Add/Remove Windows Components in Control Panel
Then go back, and re-tick it again doing the same process.

But downloading IE7 will probably help more, as the page might view better (including ActiveX) by using it

Just be aware that ActiveX is a primary BACKDOOR through which many viruses are
attached and easily exploited.

I strongly recommend you install and keep updated Spywareblaster to block known
issues with ActiveX.
