McAfee site blocked / Firefox hijacked from Google

I have McAfee Security Center installed, but it is not able to update, and the website will not load in Firefox (my preferred) or Internet Explorer (my backup). Additionally, Firefox is being hijacked when navigating through Google. I will search for a site, click on the link to it and be taken somewhere else entirely.

Running through the eight steps cleaned out alot of stuff, but the problems persists.

Suggestions?
