Memory upgrade help!

HERE IS MY LAPTOP DETAILS. I want to know what's best to upgrade. Logical/Chipset Memory Banks Max memory is 8GB. How do I upgrade it, and with what? is it with DDR2 200 pin soDIMM PC2 5300? I'm about to buy Corsair, but advise me please.

Now that is detail! The support site for this model states the maximum memory to be:

Up to 2 GB of DDR2 533 MHz memory, upgradeable to
2 GB using two soDIMM modules (dual-channel support)

Am I reading that correctly, because you stated you had plans to upgrade it to 8GB? Newegg has plenty of options for laptop memory, but I think your motherboard may be limited to something closer to what you have, with room for only slight improvement. If I am in error, someone please correct me.

EDIT: In other words, it seems to me that you can only double what you currently have in size, but not in speed. Again, I welcome scrutiny. I think that you may be looking for something more than I am providing here.

Apparently, there are 2 sets of specs listed. The one claiming 4 memory slots and up to 8GB is the maximum capability of the chipset itself.

In other words, if the chipset was in a board with 4 memory slots, then it could handle up to 8GB.

If you have the model as linked by Igneus, then you have 2 Memory slots, and can only install 2 X 1GB modules.

I have no idea what program you used to derive your spec listing, but it's almost like it returned results for 2 different machines....!!..or...??

Acer is the Horse's mouth, and if model linked is the model you have, I'd have to believe they're the final authority.

I'm kind of wondering if the part of report on the installed RAM (4 banks?), includes the integrated graphics?
