It was way more than just that. Facebook was deliberately algorithmically fomenting domestic and international unrest. At the very least, individual employees should have been hit with accessory charges. Whether or not they would have been convicted is besides the point, as the arrest and court case would have become a permanent scar on their identities, thus disincentivizing others. Instead, absolutely nothing happened.

Utter nonsense. Facebook was linking people with the content they wished to see. This was all user-created posts -- and unless the posts themselves were illegal, Facebook has no business trying to moderate them. Censorship is a hallmark of the fascist Left, but in free societies, we tend to look with disfavor on that.

You can't change documented history by denying it. Germany's National Socialists began as a far Left labor party, and promoted, espoused, and implemented Leftist ideology and programs. The lawsuit is absurd. If you make a product people like to use, they'll use it. Half of Europe is addicted to watching soccer/football, and FIFA does everything possible to ensure its fans watch ever more avidly, and we all know people who can't survive ten minutes a day without consuming the products of the pop music industry. Should we sue FIFA and the RIAA for promoting addictive behavior? How about those who run lingerie ads for promoting sexual addiction? Video-game studies for promoting that particularly heinous addiction?

Most people have a need for social contact, and social media fills that need. Should Meta attempt to design a product no one wants to use?

You have broken the uncommon sense barrier that hides common sense.
For every child that has been harmed through predators using facebook, there should be more concern and public scrutiny. Most people have no idea how many predators seek victims through these platforms.
Images and videos of children being abused(in every manner) are posted on facebook regularly. The algorythm directs the users that seek that content, to that content. Facebook, will post a warning of what will be displayed.
And...
And then gives two choices;
"get help" which means facebook support. or
"View content anyway"

The families of victims have brought this information out for scrutiny and your corrupt gov't had a session which exposed the entire situation. And Questioned Mark Zuckerberg in that session...
Nothing happened! The content is still searchable...
Victims families have been unable to remove content of their own family members being abused.
Why does ANYONE continue to use facebook or any platform that allows this to continue? The gov't should not step in against the platform with new laws when the law is ignored. Law enforcement should investigate, locate and prosecute every user that posts and searches that content.
every individual employed by a platform in the structure that allows it and fails to report it must be charged. Each employee has a superior responsible for their employees all the way up to the top of the entire business and must be charged.
The public has continued to use a platform for self-interest fantasy dreaming of fame- or "just keeping in touch with family and friends" ...
Is it worth it? One child harmed, abused and/or life is ended renders the entire platform useless.
Can anyone here say that personally they need their facebook account more than one child needs to be safe and have a childhood without abuse, SA and even RTK(the worst possible experience anyone can suffer!)?
Please tell me why countless children, teens and adults suffering torture, abuse and death is acceptable in order for your facebook account that keeps you in touch with whoever...
Pick up the phone and call, go visit someone in person.
We don't need facebook!

I block folks who dont engage in good faith, insult, condescend and are here to argue, not discuss. Nobody is entitled to my time, if someone wants to post absolute hog wash, thats on them. I owe nobody anything. I am not here to be their whipping boy and attacked repeatedly. Blocking is absolutely necessary for toxic folks. Thank god its an option or many places would be unusable on the internet.

Its more of a statement on them. Being toxic AF does not entitle anyone to a response. Nothing to do with weakness and everything to do with self respect. Its my life, my time. All to often folks on the internet today feel entitled to label, insult, condescend anonymously. They feel owed a response, thats not how this works. I guarantee in person they don't act like that. had you not taken the time to tell me, I would have continued acting like an obnoxious ____ ! I also realized that some people troll as they get crushed in conversations by trolls...
I have served as a volunteer firefighter with the forest service, then I trained and joined the FEMA vulunteer urban search and rescue. But, the task force for my area was defunded when leadership was exposed for bypassing testing and training for their friends...
now I live in the forest and work here homesteading. I also work for many other property owners in my area.
Just being outside in the smoke(from fires over 50 miles away) was rough! I do alot of hard labor, breathing the smoke while working was bad! real bad!
We have had a couple fires close enough for evacuation...
