    OK, What did I miss? Why does microshaft get $ from Android sales?!? Do they own Android now? Or is it some hardware IP thing going on?

    The only thing I gathered was the partition format, exFat. I'm curious as well, what the royalties are for.

    MSFT gets $5-$15 from each Android device sold due to the fact they MSFT owns many (to the tune of 20,000 ish) software patents which Android copiously infringes against. Not many would deny the infringement.
