Microsoft will automatically upgrade Windows 10 21H2 users after support ends next month

If its that way, they could put we own all your property condition into next eula, and automatically M$ would own half world. They almost get broken 90s cos pushing IE monopoly, and today they are screwing with whole world. You cant uninstall edge, you cant uninstall defender, you cant uninstall store, you cant disable updates, you cant stop telemetry. Reason for lawsuits are piling up

You can uninstall edge (just not one-click easy), idk why you'd want to uninstall defender (one of the best AV), you can stop all telemetry (obviously they wouldn't make it one-click easy), you can ignore store (a lot of basic apps require it), and you can indefinitely halt updates but they are still necessary.

I've never not had bugs in windows, more often than not updates resolve them. If you want to stay on the same version of .NET and Windows build forever then use something more stable like Linux lol.

Time anyone stops thinking they own Windows, just like with every game that only runs when Steam or one of the other game launchers allow it ownership is an illusion.

Like fx. Steams is ending their Windows 7/8/8.1 support at the end of 2023, for retro gaming that really sucks. Valve even have an excuse, they build Steam on top of Chrome and with Chrome no longer supporting those Windows versions... this totally ignoring, that if Valve cared they could do a fork of Chrome and keep Steam running on that.

Next up will be that Microsoft stops allowing people to run software one buys, unless a monthly fee is paid - one that is necessary to pay for the updates and so on. Just like it is the case with for example Adobe software and certain features in the latest BMW models.
Valve's reason is no excuse, everyone is just on board with making sure people stop using insecure software. I get it, some people want to really stay on Windows 7, but everytime they lose support for something, keeping it secure and stable becoming more and more of a headache. To the point where running as stable and secure version of windows 7 as you can becomes much more of a chore than just using Linux. Freaking update ffs.

Those vulnerabilities wouldn't exist if Microsoft produced a better product in the first place.
'Better' doesn't mean everything should be released with no room for improvement. Would you prefer they stated "Here's all we've got - take it or leave it", with no updates?

Still. It should not be Steam that decides you can no longer play you game collection on Windows 7.
Also, running legacy software safely is not that complicated - it is just about being considerate on what you do with it and how you set up your router/firewall.
Finally, what good is Linux if it doesn't run the games you wanna play?
