Microsoft's AI found a new material to replace li-ion batteries

What a clickbait this is.

We get almost daily researchers claiming the have tech for the best future batteries(search the web and you see), but it hardly ever enters the real market as a product since many hurdles need to be taken until that is possible.

Here researcher claim a 70% reduction of lithium use while they are just starting to produce the compound so that the can start testing in a laboratory (instead of computer simulations). It is a long way to having a real product and it might in reality never enter the market.

A computer simulation is not the same as having a tested stable product that can be produced at large scale.

I am sure that IA may help to find new product, so agree with researches that claim that. But a claim on having a product that reduces Lithium by 70% is many steps to far.
