Mod brings Vice City to Grand Theft Auto V

Ever since the release of Grand Theft Auto V on PC, modders are finding all sorts of crazy things to add in to the game world. One modder, taltigolt, has decided that the vibrant world of Los Santos wasn't to his liking, and so has replaced it with Vice City as seen in the 2002 game.

The result is an interesting mix of GTA V's lighting and water effects with Vice City's Miami-inspired city. All the iconic places from GTA: Vice City can be seen from the modder's video as he flies, drives and sails around the city, however at this stage the city is a ghost town with no civilians to interact with.

Unfortunately this mod can't be downloaded for GTA V just yet, as it's unfinished. However, you can still play Vice City on a wide variety of platforms, including PC, Android, iOS, PlayStation Network, and old consoles like the Xbox and PlayStation 2.

Very Cool, looking forward to seeing how this mod develops with time. A completely re-skinned Vice City would be so much fun, I had too much fun playing this game back in the day. It's funny to see the textures and all their chunky glory.

Arguably the best GTA in the franchise, pound for pound.

Had lots of fun in VC.... I think the military helicopter was the most fun though. That and I really liked the weapons in that game. I'm hoping to see all these previous cities show up in future GTA releases.

I also must say I'm amazed at the quality of the GTA 5 for PC release. It is a solid port, seems well optimized and is stable. I've only had one minor issue with it, which could of been my PC. I have over 70 hours into the game so far.

For me GTA III was the best. Hate the left hand side of the VC map. Beach front to 80's massive mansion to out of place mexican gangland grotto that sits next to a posh dealership and airport...

Should of been just been high rise appartments more clubs and a sea world. More cocaine fueled high flying gangster wannabes. Not a bunch of meheeco ganja smokers.

It was like rockstar just gave up with that whole left hand side, chewed up a few zones and spat them out, left them where they fell.

These modders should improve on VC. I don't understand the love for it.
