Modem issue

I have a very old Speed Stream 5100 modem. My provider is ATT DSL service. I want to up-grade my modem to a wireless\dls modem combo. Any good suggestions, and would a newer modem increase my speed? My speed right now is about 3.3..

also consider that your hardware does not control the bandwidth on your system - -
the ISP does.

Verify what's available from your provider and/or other providers in your area.
