Just got this Acer Aspire Z3-600 used a few days ago, reset it to factory settings & have noticed the display/monitor dimms a bit & then returns to normal. Nothing showing in Device Manager, where else do I need to check? Not used to a touch screen either.

I think it had to do with the battery not being fully charged. I ran it for a few minutes unplugged & dimming has stopped, thank you :)

Not really. Best bet is manual for Acer Aspire Z3-600 - look at all power saving settings, especially for charger not attached. There are also settings in the OS, so play with them too.
Sorry, no magic bullet.

Sorry to be a "PITA", but I've been googling Acer Aspire Z3-600 & no user manual, just other bs :(

Will check it out, I'm getting to believe Acer manuals are "different" from normal ones lol :)
I got the above link by typing in the Serial Number.

Say, if it matters, I just found out this All in one acer started out as W 8. I looked at the sticker on the back of it. #DOH lol :)

@Cycloid Torus , the monitor has been going "black" occasionally so I put it on power saving setting. It then happened again so I am in the process of resetting it to factory settings again. Its currently at 20%. I still have not found a user manual that explains what certain buttons/switches are for or do.
I'm about ready to shut it down & go back to my W10 desktop.

Despite numerous "re"adjustments, I'm giving up. Its about 4 or 5 years old so maybe age is finally catching up with it. :)

@Cycloid Torus , I think the mystery has been solved. First off, I went thru that manual & found nothing related . I don't have the best vision, but noticed a brighter screen on cloudy days & dimmer on cloud free days. Just a few minutes ago I turned a BRIGHT light on & screen dimmed, turned it off & screen brightened up. Where the sensor is, I don't know & probably won't care. Thanks for your patience with me :) (y) (Y)

@Cycloid Torus , YES, it has been solved :). Looking for a different program, I found the setting for Monitor (Display) Brightness, UN checked it, the screen lit up so I believe its solved, thanks :)
