Monitor going bad?

I have an LCD Monitor that up until recently has been acting funny. I am not so sure this is an OS problem but here goes.

Right after the Windows XP screen, it goes blank.
The PC continues to boot up but no display.
I can turn the monitor off and then back on and the screen will display for about 3 seconds before going blank again.
I am thinking this is not a driver or video card issue because I plugged the monitor up to a laptop and it did the exact same thing.


Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated!

Have you tried to connect to monitor to an other computer?
Have you got the bios settings right? -Init first display: PCI-E (for ex)
Does it work in "safe mode"?

Appreciate the response. I plugged the monitor into a laptop (another PC) and it did the exact same thing. I am no expert but I would think that would eliminate bios/safemode/OS situations, right?

there is a problem in the monitor, you should take it to the maintenance center
