I can see an advantage here politically.

Think of all the trumpanistas right here at TS. If trump and his ring kissers get back on twits, the world will see them clearly again. The things they say, their lies and anti-American ideals. And everyone will again see the trump right for what we already know they are. It will just be easier to find and out in the open.

I swear it will be like opening a worldwide comedy club.

Russia collusion hoax, Covington high school kids hoax, Jussie Smollett hoax, Kyle Rittenhouse hoax, Bubba Wallace hoax,Kavanaugh r@pe hoax, fake impeachment hoax, peaceful protest, etc .. all promoted by left wing propaganda news sources.

For the most part, yes (Not Russian collusion or impeachment. Proven and busted). The difference is the media outlets apologized for pushing bullshit. Even when they were only reporting on facts known at the time. Righty media NEVER does unless forced by legal action. And even then they usually just go silent on the subject. Not something you do if you have been telling the truth.

Nobody on the left claims' perfection, but most strive for it. Most of the right claims perfection, but shows its true lying colors every day.

I pray Musk takes over twit and let's trump and his boot lickers back on.
Then it will be easy for the media to show who says what, with no way to deny.

You still ride or die on the lie that Trump won 2020?

I stopped reading after that sentence. Multiple media outlets have been sued by both Kyle Rittenhouse and the Covington high school kids for continuing to push their lies after the fact.

Imagine having a credit so good that you are qualified for a $46.5 billion loan lol. Most Americans barely qualify for a 5K loan, and of they are lucky enough, it will be with a 30% interest 😵‍💫

You're being painfully naive if you think this is accidental and not completely on purpose. The lies are blasted at us at max volume, front page for weeks; the retractions brief and hastily buried next to the classifieds and late night infomercials.

The media doesn't see the fact that lies fly while truth limps as a bug, but a critical feature, as fundamental to their horrible business as "if it bleeds it leads".

Maybe we are disputing the same facts, just at different levels.
There is no way in hell I could ever watch righty media, and then complain about the honesty of the other side. It is hypocrisy not seen since the Joe McCarthy era.

But we are all very aware of all media's desire to rush half stories to broadcast since the excellent CNN broadcasts in Baghdad in the 90s. What I watch is how different outlets handle it when they report incorrectly.

MSNBC handles it quite well and always has. CNN ducks and dodges and flails in the wind so bad and even points the finger at someone else to the point you would think trump took them over. And yes, Fox bothers me the most because they VERY rarely even acknowledge their mistakes. In fact, I don't think they have admitted to a load of crap unless they are threatened with a lawsuit. Then that topic just disappears from their broadcasts.

If you are telling the truth, you don't let threats of a lawsuit change what you are doing.

What lies did Fox push? And btw you left out the likes of the NYT, Jeff Bezos WAPO, ABC, CBS, and taxpayer funded NPR.

I find it ironic that people are wringing their hands over the possibility that Musk might gain control. All the while they stayed silent when the murderous Saudi Prince bought 5% and had employees spy for him. I guess as long as you murder any dissenting journalists, it's OK and people are happy to work for such a man.

What lies did Fox push?
Stolen election
Nobody under 30 needs to get vaccinated
War on Christmas
trump republicans are good people
Egypt considering necrophilia bill
Numerous attempts at editing footage
Migrants spread COVID faster than American citizens
106 was a bunch of tourists
Swedish terror attack that didn't happen
ACA would allow the killing of Grandmas
COVID vaccine dangerous for kids
More kids died in a bathtub than by accidental shootings
No firm data that second hand smoke is a killer
America is the only country that has automatic citizenship at birth
Death Panels
Cash for Clunkers website will seize all of your private information
If you earn $250,000 you only take home $125,000
Obama going to India cost 250 MILLION dollars a day

I didn't use web search or any of my bookmarks here, so if you like, I can get much more detailed.
My favorite Fox News stroke of genius was when Fox agreed with trump when he congratulated the state of Kansas for the Chiefs Superbowl. Made me want to hold a bible upside down.

Yes. If Musk's Twitter takeover is financially successful, there would be nothing stopping him from going for Facebook next. The keys is the financial part. Divide and conquer.

Actually, a hostile takeover of Facebook is impossible because Zuck personally holds a majority of the voting shares. What that means in practice is that shares of Facebook are basically worthless unless Zuck decides to issue a dividend one day.

"His filing with the SEC indicates that he has received commitment letters from Morgan Stanley and "other financial institutions" showing he has $46.5 billion in funding."____ I bet Trump Business is one of the "Other Financial Institutions"...!

You people really have problems with reading. NEVER did I say anyone is flawless. What I said was I liked how they handle it when they screw up.

Maddow opens some of her shows with her own self corrections.

Please pay attention.
I do pay attention, and no MSNBC doesn't handle their gaffes well at all.

Then you should have no problem finding a mistake they made and didn't own up to it. And I mean a real mistake. Not the trumpian version, where the truth is fake news.

I was going to discuss this but didn't and I should have. It's individual viewpoints here because nobody owed Sandmann an apology and I'm glad they didn't. Even Geraldo said he was not owed an apology because you dont try to stare someone down with any other intent.

There was harassment claimed but there were no lies here, which is what we are discussing.
A punk was treated like a punk. And I give it 2 (y) (Y) (y) (Y)

You aren't good at this. NBC lied continuously about the Covington Catholic high school kids and they were forced to pay millions because of it.
