My cellphone will not power up

I have a LG Optimus V that suddenly died! I was listening to streaming music with headphones on, with it plugged into charger as I slept. When I awoke, it was off and will not turn on again..Tried the 5 second plug/uplug 5 X that LG suggested..Virgin Mobile said their screens showed it plugged in and charging...but I cannot get it to come on. PLEASE, any suggestions would be helpful! THANKS SO MUCH!

I discovered the problem!!! OMG...now I really feel dumb..lol..The USB plugs into the plug that plugs in the wall...and IT had come loose....I don't know HOW Virgin mobile told me they saw it was charging if it was not plugged in...hmmmm...the power came on as soon as I discovered it...I do not know how to delete my post...talk about dumb blonde! I will be back with more questions, I can assure you...THANKS for taking the time to read!
