My Laptop Freezes

My laptop has been freezing up, even when I would boot in safe mode.

It has a history of hard drive problems, so I just replaced the hard-drive.

But it still freezes up when I try to boot and run Acronis.

Is there anyway to tell what is causing this?

Thank you.

I don't think so.

I freezes up soon after I start, so I don't think it even has time to heat up.

Could be overheating, bad RAM, incorrect voltages... erm...

Try the RAM first. Load up memtest or similar on a USB and run it.

I ran Memtest86+ and it did have some errors.

Ha, that's a lot of errors! :D

Okay, open up your laptop and try with only one stick of RAM in. Then try with the other stick. Then, try the sticks in the alternate slots. Should be 4 tests total, hopefully at least one is successful.

How the memtest86 works is it runs a total of 10 tests and then runs them over and over.

I guess I'll run it overnight for each test.
